Installation


System Requirements

Before installing EmailArchitect EASendMail Service, ensure your system meets the requirements described in this section. Otherwise EmailArchitect EASendMail Service setup may not run properly after installation. The followings are minimum requirements for EmailArchitect EASendMail Service:

Requirements list
Windows 2000/2003/XP or later version. (Windows x64 version is supported as well). Internet Explorer 6.0 or later installed.
Intel Pentium II or compatible 200 MHz or faster processor.
128 MB of RAM
20 MB of available disk space
Current user is a member of Built-in Administrators Group of Windows

Installation

To install EASendMail SMTP Service you require a single installation file named "EASendMailService.exe". You must download the latest version of the installation file for the setup. This file can be downloaded at our website:

After the installation is complete, click "EASendMail Service Manager" from "Start menu -> All Programs -> EmailArchitect EASendMail Service -> EASendMail Service Manager" to set up the SMTP Configuration.

Compatibility with Anti-Virus/Anti-Spy software

If your server/workstation has anti-virus/anti-spy software installed such as Norton AV, Mcafee and etc. Please add [EASendMail Service Installation Path] to the excluding directory of those software.

Moreover, Emailarchitect EASendMail service creates/invokes the following processes/scripting on the server:

EASendMailSvr
EASendMailSvc

cscript.exe [EASendMail Service Installation Path]\installer\infuncs.vbs

If Anti-Virus/Anti-Spy software pop up a dialog box asking if the above processes are allowed to be running on this machine, choose "yes"; otherwise EmailArchitect EASendMail service will not work properly.

EASendMail Service Web Agent

If your application is running on the same server of EASendMail Service, then please use SendMailToQueue or SendMailToQueueEx method; If your appliation want to send email to EASendMail Service on remote server, you should use PostToRemoteQueue method.
Before you use PostToRemoteQueue method, you should deploy EASendMail Service Web Agent on the server.
