Hi, this error is because the DNS server of the gmail.ca always returns timeout.

timeout is a temporal error, EA server has to rety to send it.
Until the Expiration timeout(seconds): in SMTP service->Delivery, then it will invoke the failed to deliver the message event.
By default, this value is 86400 (24hours), that means if the DNS server always return timeout, "failed to deliver the message event" will be invoked after 24 hours.

You can decrease the Expiration timeout(seconds): in SMTP service->delivery.

hi again
I just want the smtp to try once
and if there is an error ( any error)
apply a remote error delivery
and not try another time.

si i have set to :
Outbound connection timeout(seconds): 300
Retry interval(seconds): 900
Expiration timeout(seconds): 400

so if i understand correctly
the timeout will occur before the retry
and the remote error delivery event will occur
and there will be no retry ?

is this the roght way to do this ?

thanks

Hi, if you want to disable retry

please change

Expiration timeout(seconds): 120 to
Expiration timeout(seconds): 0
